Barbara J. Cormack MNMC, AFC, AFM, CIAC combines her extensive background and experience with a keen insight into the demands of balancing organisational development with the professional and personal.

Barbara is an experienced IT Programme and Project Manager, fully trained Master Coach (NMC), an award winning Accredited Fellow Coach and an Accredited Fellow Mentor; with over 30-years experience of working with individuals, teams of  people, goals, aspirations, dreams, desires and successful outcomes.

Barbara was born in Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). In the Federation days her parents moved to Nyasaland (now Malaŵi) where she grew up. She was educated in Malaŵi, South Africa, and the UK.

Following her schooling (Malaŵi and South Africa) Barbara spent a year in the UK at college. On her return to Malaŵi, her career started in the more traditional role of auditing and accounting.  Travel beckoned; and she and a friend took the opportunity to plan their travels to Europe.  This led to Barbara remaining in the UK.

After reaching her goal to work in the City of London (where she was a financial analyst), Barbara changed careers and spent many years working as a financial software specialist in the IT world (implementations, business process engineering, blue sky developments, consulting, project/programme management, training), giving Barbara the opportunity to travel extensively as part of her work. At the beginning of this century another career change saw Barbara qualifying as a coach, and changing her focus to work with organisations and individuals using her knowledge and experience as a Coach and Mentor.

Coaching is a wonderful journey of self-discovery and achievement.

Barbara has spent her life in various parts of the world – Africa, UK, Europe, USA, and Canada – and as such has a strong knowledge of international business practices.  Barbara’s experience has been gained while both living and working nationally and internationally, and through working in a wide range of industries – these include Retail, Distribution, Warehousing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Pharmaceuticals, Property, Oil, Online Publications, Agriculture, Airports, Auditing, Banking, Telecommunications and Television.

Mentoring is a wonderful journey of suggestion and guidance,
supporting self-discovery and achievement.

From an early age Barbara was very intuitive but with the move to the commercial world, initially in the UK and then across the various continents, Barbara stopped using her intuition at the same level. As part of her training as a coach this element of herself returned; and she now actively uses it in her every day life, with her clients, colleagues and friends.

Training is a wonderful journey of learning, through sharing information,
supporting self-discovery and achievement.

Clients hold Barbara in high esteem. Her style of working makes the possibility of sustainable change compelling, exciting and achievable. Her style of working makes the knowledge of your future clear, inviting and achievable.   She combines her extensive background and experience with a keen insight into the demands of balancing the personal with the professional. Barbara’s passion in life is to ensure that her clients, colleagues, family, and friends become the best they can in all aspects of their lives. She is an advocate of achieving in every arena of life. Barbara is the author and co-author of a number of books, with more to be published next year.  After many years of transition Barbara now has the ultimate ‘virtual working life’ – she is able to coach, mentor, train, carry out IT projects, facilitate or present from anywhere in the world.  In 2008 Barbara bought a house and in early 2010 Barbara moved to her dream destination – the island of Madeira, Portugal (her little piece of Africa in Europe).  Circumstances changed and today Barbara is resident in South Lanarkshire, Scotland; and spends time in central France.
